Job Description

The Public Sector Business Desk under Amazon Web Services is looking for a Pricing Analyst to support the APJ public sector business. Serving as a key member of the APJ Business Desk team to support the APJ public sector business, the Pricing Analyst will play a key role to drive deal velocity in APJ. You will manage and execute non-standard pricing deals which will require a high degree of tactical involvement. These activities range from deal qualification, internal deal review process, contract negotiation, and execution. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and adept at collaborating with multiple diverse stakeholders across geographies to primarily support and deliver on the execution of programmatic private pricing deals.

Roles and responsibilities include:
· Partner with Sales and internal teams (Legal, Finance, Capture, Proposal, Partner, Operations, Service teams, and others) to understand customer and deal requirements, formulate and recommend an appropriate private pricing program/structure.
· Serve as a key member of the AWS WWPS business desk team to negotiate and assist in closing deals, and increase deal velocity.
· Analyze trends, formulate projections, create financial models, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations to drive deal closure.
· Manage multiple activities within the sales and deal cycle process, and ensure that the deal is progressed and closed in a timely manner.
· As the local Business Desk contact, contribute to efforts to improve existing constructs, processes, and programs.
· Train and work closely with APJ field teams to ensure awareness of the program and related processes.
· Provide management with deal insights/analytics, metrics-based reporting, and ad-hoc reporting.

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS degree equivalent experience
· At least 3 years of experience working as business desk/deal desk/licensing specialist/sales operations
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and multiple geographies
· Strong verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with cloud computing or related field
· Prior work experience in the technology industry
· Familiar with sales productivity tools such as Salesforce.com and Content Management Solutions
· Adept in a fast-paced environment, and able to navigate multiple ongoing priorities and ambiguities
