Senior Logistics Officer (1-Year Contract)

What are my job responsibilities?

First point of contact for all Logistics Capacity planning related queries across Inbound, Outbound, Warehouse, Offshore Material (for Direct Project Business)

Monitor and prepare on inventory report/cycle count and follow up on stock discrepancies

Support all related reporting activities (dashboard, metrics, etc) including reviewing the need to enhance the tool to support the business need

Monitor Delivery effectiveness and ship optimization trends to minimize Supply Chain Costs

Responsible and keeping track of project orders to ensure smooth delivery. Develop and implement regular review cycle

Liaise and coordinate with customers, warehouse staff and forwarders on shipments

Support day to day logistics operational tasks such as inward/outward shipments, if required.

What do I need to qualify for this role?

Masters/Bachelors degree preferred, applicants with 5-8 years relevant experience in supply chain/logistics will also be considered.

Strong Data analysis and numeric skills with excellent attention to details and the ability to evaluate, analyse, present data to senior management team (as needed)

Logistics analytics background is necessary

Organized and able to react to the challenges of a dynamic environment

Ability to deal with significant complexity driven by project transitions, changing business landscape and supply or demand constraints

Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, both written and verbal

Ability to establish positive relationships in a cross-functional team environment

Demonstrates initiative, perseverance, creative and flexibility

Proficient at high level with Microsoft Excel

Customers / Project centric, focus on meeting the business demand, thinking of the big picture

SAP and database skills an advantage

Preferable from industries with focus of supply chain cost optimization (such as Electronics) instead of conventional logistics freight forwarders/logistics service providers
