You will be the technical lead and guide the project team for all engineering activities for an Automation project in Industrial Automation; Energy Industries at Singapore. Ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements with customer satisfaction. Design authority for ICSS (PCS, Safety, PMS, Batch) application and solutions with medium to high complexity. Complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements and you will report to Engineering Manager.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for coordinating with other project stake holders for technical subjects, representing Engineering in internal and external project review meeting and utilizing standard processes, tools and techniques.

You will ensure Quality output and maintain project KPI, proper RFQ and technical evaluation of vendor and assist project manager for proper closure of project.

Leading and coordinating engineering and commissioning activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification, interacting with customers and external providers for approval of plant acceptance criteria, open issues closure and performance tests, identifying and introducing new effective engineering solutions to meet business and customer needs and attend project meetings and presents specific aspects of commissioning.

Developing, coaching and providing technical guidance to colleagues and project team in assigned business unit. Gives feedbacks to the organization to apply lessons learned process.

Ensuring that all commissioning activities comply with the required safety regulations and contractual requirements, identifying, introducing and promoting processes and tools in one’s area of responsibility to increase productivity. Analyses data and prepares reports to ensure on-contract delivery.

Assisting in creation and presentation of proposals for engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of material, estimated engineering hours etc.).

Supporting Contract/Project Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.), providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivering within budget and contract and ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.

Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility, managing the implementation of the engineering and commissioning plan and improving effectiveness of work plans in collaboration with other functions and managing external organizations to ensure availability of commissioning equipment, systems or services. Provides technical guidance to ensure tools/systems meet required specifications.

Job Specification

Your background

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering, thorough understanding of Oil and Gas, Chemicals and Power plant process with specialization in applications and solutions for integrated process control required.

Proficient with MS Word, Excel; MS access, Power Point, MS Visio, MS projects and ACAD.

15+ years of experience in Oil, Gas and Chemical (OGC) and Power Generation Integrated control system engineering and commissioning experience especially on automation solutions for FPSO and Chemical plants, preferably on 800XA/Symphony Harmony platform. Should have exposure on leading medium scale local and/or virtual project team.

Clear understanding of project execution cycle, challenges and safety requirements at each stage of project activities including commissioning sequence. A Team Player with strong focus on engineering cost management, quality, On-Time delivery and customer relationship. Ability to work in a multinational team.
