Job Description

The Selling Partner Abuse (SPA) team designs and implements policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers. We are looking for leaders to take ownership of these various areas and deliver critical and high visibility projects to protect customers. We are looking for a Brand Incidents Risk Manager to manage critical and high impact brand related global events and escalations. The ideal candidate should be able to think big and be creative in identifying scalable solutions, passionate about helping us ensure that customers may make great purchase decisions, and that brand owners using Amazon are successful listing and selling their products. Your decisions are not only fundamental to helping protect customers and brand owners, but will help maintain the health of the Amazon catalog and product listings ecosystem. You will work closely with brands and improve/implement existing/new policies, tools, and technology innovations to protect customers and brands, and to ensure compliance with Amazon policies.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record setting program strategy to deliver results.
· Lead and support teams in responding to, investigating, managing and resolving high-impact brand related incidents and escalations around product authenticity (counterfeit, trademark, copyright) and safety issues.
· Take leading role in drafting and presenting brand related deep-dive documents, including responses to senior executives and time sensitive PR/ legal issues.
· Analyze brand related escalations/incidents, existing policy, and process gaps, and develop solutions to close them.
· Own and/or manage projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency. This will include accessing and analyzing data and working extensively with cross functional/external teams.
· Closely monitor media and global events to anticipate and mitigate potential brand related risks. Be comfortable using data to analyze trends, predict and fix problems before they happen.
· Use high-level judgment to own complex enforcement decisions in ambiguous situations.

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of experience working in relevant industries such as brand protections/relations, investigations especially intellectual properties/fraud related areas, risk managements/escalations handling.
· High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - able to write and communicate, clearly and succinctly in English
· Exceptional bias for action – willing to move quickly and decisively to resolve incidents/escalations.
· Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
· Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization.
· Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external cross functional teams, including Legal, Public Relation, and Brand Owners.
· Flexible to work on high severity out-of-scope tasks when required.
· Willing to work on non-standard working hours (weekends and public holidays) to provide on-call support for high severity events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working in risk, fraud or compliance organizations.
· Strong enthusiasm to provide superb customer service to the leadership team and other key stakeholders.
· Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situation
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
· Proficiency in another languages other than English.
