Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a world-class partner and sales manager to manage the Public Sector vertical relationship with strategic AWS consulting partners. As a Partner Development Manager within AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to accelerate adoption of AWS cloud computing services through this Global & Regional System Integrators and their customers in Public Sector.


AWS partners develop and deploy solutions for customers in Public Sector to support them on their digital transformation journey. They help government, education and not for profit customers address key industry drivers to build a digital future, transform legacy and rapidly create innovative solutions, manage risk more effectively and deliver the level of service today’s citizen’s expect. Focused on dozens of solution areas including Advanced Analytics, Business Applications, Big Data, IoT, Migration, Managed Services, Digital Transformation and Industry Verticals. The ideal candidate will possess both a strong sales background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as a solid technical sales background that empowers them to easily interact with technical leaders within and outside of AWS. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. The ideal candidate will also be deeply familiar with complex legacy IT environments, managed enterprise IT infrastructure services, Enterprise applications, and has done market analysis, deal negotiation and construction, business operations, and has a background that enables them to create scalable programs that apply holistic approaches to selling to Enterprises and Enterprise Partners.

Key Responsibilities:
· Engages, supports and scales business development and sales teams across AWS to be capable of delivering the hybrid value proposition to enterprise customers and partners
· Working with cross functional teams to create and execute a strategic business plan, inclusive of enablement, practice development, and marketing and sales initiatives on solutions that meet Public Sector customer needs with measurable ROI
· Driving partner sales revenue through regular pipeline, opportunity registration and business reviews with partners to manage progress against the strategic business plan
· Engage each partner’s field sales organizations, channels and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
· Evangelizing a partner’s value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers
· Driving partner solutions, APN Program attainment, continuous enablement through training and certifications and go-to-market strategies for differentiation and expansion of their footprint
· Understand the technical requirements of each partner and work closely with the internal AWS development team to guide the direction of our service offerings
· Prepare and give business reviews to AWS and partner senior leaders
· Manage complex contract negotiations involving legal, marketing and business terms

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

8-10+ years of experience in the technology sales, partner management, business development, or alliances management experience
· Track record of success building a partner ecosystem with solutions or innovation programs
. Experience with, and detailed knowledge of managed services market and insights related to cloud computing and IT;
. Experience managing joint GTM success with technology partners, including development and tracking of joint sell-with and sell-through business activities.
. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
· Experience working with/for Global Systems Integrators


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA and/or technical degree a plus
· Experience in technology sales, partner management, business development, product management
· Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business
· Familiarity with Software as a Service or other cloud-based technologies
· Strong presentation and writing skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
· Knowledge of AWS services and technologies
