What are my job responsibilities?
- The aim of the QEHS Manager (QMIP/EHSMiP) is to act as a key support to the Project Delivery Team in all aspects of quality management and reporting. The QMiP/EHSMiP acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement in all Siemens project phases. The QMIP/EHSMiP will work with the Project Management team to close out any non-conformance in delivery to ensure positive project results. Acts as a member of the project core team with special focus on failure prevention.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Establish the define quality management system tailored/aligned to the project specific requirements to ensure quality in process and product quality in service/solution project to achieve customer satisfaction and business success.
- Support project management in planning and securing milestone results.
- Support Bid & Project team in complying to Quality and Environment, Safety & Health (QEHS) requirements.
- Able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, carry out regular audits to ensure Quality & EHS in projects in all phases
- Carry out Supplier QEHS audits for Supplier qualification and regular evaluations
- Coordinate & conduct QEHS related trainings for staff as required.
- Planning Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management promotions in the Company.
- Managing the overall effectiveness of the Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management System through a working Quality, Environment Safety & Health Committee.
- Communicating and promoting Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management programs to Company Members and contractors or suppliers.
- Communicating and coordinating activities with other Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management Committee Members.
- Ensuring compliance to objectives and targets for Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management Program.
- Reporting of overall performance of the Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management for the assigned projects.
- Ensuring project work at site from EHS point of view for compliance and adherence to regulations from the authorities.
- Raise Corrective Action Request for breach of applicable Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management Regulation and System requirements.
- Recommend Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management Protection Programs.
- Be an active promoter of QEHS in matters relating to the Quality, Environment Safety & Health Management System
- Stop unsafe work or contractors who are liable to start unsafe works in the Company’s premises or project.
- Monitor quality related KPIs or key figures related to projects assigned.
- Establish Non-Conformance management by reporting non-conformities and non-conformance cost (NCC) and drive root-cause analysis, associated measure for NC correction/prevention.
- Support the planning, initiation and coordination of continuous improvement actions for all phases of the project. Ensure good practice sharing and feedback of experience e.g. through continuous improvement workshops (esp. lessons learned) and project assessments.
- Plan and ensure the required quality level of the project-specific supply chain (internal & external) with the focus on specifications and interface definitions. This includes the support of the SQM (Supplier Quality Management) in the application of supplier-related procedures, such as selection, qualification, development, integration, supervision and auditing.
- Experience in working on large and complex projects to manage Quality and Safety will be a plus
- This is an individual contributor role and requires Hands on experience and ability to add value by involving with the projects will be a key success factor.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar education background that relevant to Quality or EHS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing Quality or EHS in E&M industry or project environment.
- Ability to work in concurrent bids and manage portfolio of projects.
- Around 3 plus years as project team member and working with multi-disciplinary team.

- Understand ISO9001, ISO/TS29001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 and Singapore WSH requirements
