Position Summary
Based in our regional HQ in Singapore, this role is responsible for accelerating the growth of Samsung’s TV/AV online business across SEA & Oceania digital channels (Samsung.com, Pure Player, Retailer.com).
This position reports to the Regional Head of TV/AV category and will collaborate closely with HQ/Regional/Local online teams to develop online channel strategy and execute growth initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners (Online, TV/AV Product Marketing, Marcoms, Logistics etc.) to guide subsidiaries on how to manage and grow their TV/AV online sales, including accessories business. This includes:
Leading key online growth initiatives to execution.
Understand TV/AV online strategic priorities, develop detailed action plans, gain subsidiary buy-in and manage projects in collaboration with local teams. Key initiatives may include:
* Online Content Strategy: drive purchase intention through A+ content, inter-active experiences, review generation and product customization.
* Seamless Omni-channel Experience: Enhanced SKU offering (Endless Aisle), on-demand replenishment, differentiated Pure Player business models (Dropship, 3PD).
* Advanced Data Marketing to Upsell/Cross-Sell: Leverage Samsung, partner and 3rd party data to segment consumers and develop campaigns.
Tracking TV/AV online sales KPIs, identifying root cause of under-performance and developing improvement plans.
Understand Online market landscape across SEA & Oceania region including shifting consumer preferences and competitor trends; analyze pricing trends and conduct Pin-to-Pin model analysis.
Ensuring alignment between HQ, RHQ and Subsidiary teams on strategic priorities, and implementation roadmap.
To be successful, this role requires a mix of skills including hands-on project management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and influencing key stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
Skills and Qualifications
Min 7-10 years experience, incl. 5 years+ as e-Commerce manager for consumer facing MNC or Category Manager from retailer side covering online sales channel
Prior Consumer Electronics industry experience preferred but not essential
Solid understanding of e-commerce operations in SE Asia
Strong project management skills including attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple deliverables in parallel
Team player with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Cross-functional collaboration and strong influencing skills – must be able to rally diverse stakeholders behind common goal
Pro-active attitude – eager to develop new value-add projects and initiatives to support subsidiary operations and drive online business growth
Problem solver with ability to turn data driven insights into practical recommendations; solid analytical skills and proficient use of Excel
Passionate about TV/AV category; familiar with key selling points, consumer trends and competitive dynamics
