Job Description
Currently, more than 1800 students are learning at GESS supported by more than 400 full time and part time academic and administrative staff members. In August 2018 GESS moved to Dairy Farm Road to a modern new school campus located at the edge of Singapore’s largest nature reserve.
Responsibilities:· Fully responsible for running a Pre-School class· Planning for the units in cooperation with the other class teachers· Planning and preparing documentation in relation to school curricula, reports and portfolios· Involvement in policy writing, curriculum reviews etc.· Giving information to parents about special activities and events regarding the children· Facilitating regular parent teacher conferences, parents’ evenings and other parents’ activitiesRequirements:· Must be proficient in German Language (spoken and written) as classes will be conducted in German· Must have a good command of the English· Appropriate experience and teaching qualification· Must have previous teaching experience in a pre-school setting; knowledge of the IB PYP framework and the Reggio Emilia philosophy is desirable· Must have experience in teaching hands-on and inquiry lead approaches as well as in a play based curriculum· Proficient oral amp; written communication skills· Have an engaging and charismatic disposition with a passion and talent to develop a love for life-long learning in young children· Must be creative in delivering lessons plans and children-lead inquiry based learning engagements

Our SchoolThe German European School Singapore (GESS) is a multi-lingual, not-for-profit, German international school in Singapore with a distinct European flavour. As an accredited ‘Excellent German School Abroad’, the German Section of GESS offers all major German school leaving certificates. Our European Section offers tuition in English for students from grade 1 - 12 across all three IB programmes (the PYP, the MYP and the IB Diploma Programme) as an authorised IB World School.
