  • We are looking to hire an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership and be accountable for the seamless daily fulfilment and operations of our business. Responsible to drive continuous improvement and optimisation of all workflow processes within our mobile testing, grading and order fulfilment facility. Initiatives to aggressively reduce cost. Reporting to Director of Operations you will be working closely with our product managers and will be accountable to them to fulfil our promise of consistently fast, accurate and on time delivery to our customers and exceptional customer service alongside staff and directly manage a team of staff, oversee all daily operations of the Service centre, including production, test amp; grading ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will have the key skills to further develop processes and procedures or implement new best practices that will maximise production and quality of the product.

This is a growing and intense, fast paced, hands on role that demanding strong people management, Obsessive attitude for problem solving and ability to calm under pressure, Quickly resolve daily operational issues

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible to constantly improve and oversee and run day to day fulfilment operation and drive continuous service quality improvements. Your areas of responsibility include:
  • Process automation, identify bottleneck, optimise work flow and document and implement automation
  • Increase productivity and minimise costs whilst maintaining high quality and service
  • Implement strategies to meet objectives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Train, mentor and develop staff
  • Monitor operations and discipline staff where required
  • Have the ability to be hands on, work alongside staff and set a high standard.
  • Deal with customers/potential customers and address any concerns
  • Deal with suppliers and extract the best result from them regarding price and service
  • Report directly to Directors
  • Drive operational improvements on the quality management system and operation safety
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • An ideal candidate would have the ability to explore new products, test technologies, directions, and growth opportunities for the business
  • Ability to provide effective input to developing and managing budgets
  • Ability to plan and adapt your working style to manage the various facets of work including planned activities, reactive work, and delivery of special projects
  • Leading, inspiring, and mentoring your team to create a collaborative and engaged environment
  • Planning, developing, and implementing new methods and procedures to ensure smooth operations of the plant
  • Assist to setup of similar operation in other regions to support company expansion globally
  • Pick, Pack, Sort Operation - WMS environment for smooth work flow and accuracy
  • Warehouse management - Efficient stock inward, stock outward
  • Safety Space Optimisation



Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years managerial experience in electronics related Services or Manufacturing environment (preferable peripherals or mobile sector)
  • Proven experience which would enable the candidate to meet responsibilities
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Manufacturing/trade/engineering qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Good planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and managing multiple tasks
  • A positive, flexible, and constructive approach to dealing with operational issues in a high-pressure environment
