The role ensures that Mediacorp operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal SOPs while meeting its business goals. He / She is responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company SOPs, understanding relevant regulations and advising management on possible non-compliance risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, establish and work with the business units to set operations standards for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Review procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible gaps of non-compliance.
- Proactively and regularly engage stakeholders to identify and close gaps in internal SOPs and guidelines for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee and guide business units in the development and management of action plans in response to audit findings and compliance violations.
- Draft, modify and implement compliance related policies and guidelines.
- Provide regular training to to staff on the relevant regulations and processes pertaining to Mediacorp operations.
- Provide regular advisories and updates to management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in relevant industry and/or in similar role
- Bachelor Degree in related field
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Prior experience as compliance practitioner is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
