Data Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys with regards to the project implementation.

• Plan, coordinate and manage project schedule to ensure that the project milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Involved in the review and design of the implementation;

• Liaise with vendors and contractors on the coordination work for implementation;

• Perform site supervision and co-ordination works;

• Perform system integration and testing role;

• Prepare site clearance and access;

• Prepare and maintain project documentation.

Requirements

General

• Degree in Electrical amp; Electronic Engineering/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong understanding of large scale info-communication infrastructure solutions
• Experience in project management and system management

• Understanding of security policies and operational environment

• Good understanding of prevailing ICT technologies and technology markets

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills, resourceful, meticulous and a team player

• Able to multi-task and work independently in a dynamic working environment

• Required to submit personal detail for clearance

Technical

• 2-3 years of relevant working experience in data centre design and/or IT infrastructure systems design and implementation.

• Managing and supporting complex network environment with strong networking understanding in TCP/IP, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, virtual private networks (VPN)
• Managing data centre switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls and use of network management tools to monitor service metrics
• Familiarity with networking infrastructure including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN remote access, IPsec, BGP and other protocols
• Knowledge in storage networking and software defined networking will be an added advantage
• Able to be recall after office hour for onsite support when required.
