The Incubation Network (TIN) was established in Singapore by SecondMuse in partnership with The Circulate Initiative to take up this challenge. The problem of ocean plastic pollution represents just a part of a broader crisis brought about by an intersecting set of issues: rapid urbanization, changes in income and consumption, lack of investment, and ineffective regulation. In Asia, where the majority of ocean plastic originates, these issues are acute. To address them we need to think differently about cities, materials, businesses and economies.
