About The Role

This role will lead the managed libraries team consisting of library managers and officers to ensure that Service Level Agreement’s (SLA) requirements are being properly managed. During the course of customer's contracts, the incumbent shall maintain long term healthy customer relationships, acting as the bridge between clients and Civica internal teams. The incumbent will also be focused on deeper alignment and penetration of existing customers while broadening and expanding new customers and opportunities within the library space in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Management of Libraries

  • Provide guidance to library managers for their daily operations, and ensure they are achieving the Service Level Agreement
  • Ensure team is kept abreast of changes in the library industry including standards in acquisitions, collection development and cataloguing so that they are consistently equipped with up-to-date knowledge to advise customers
  • Set standards and policies for cataloguing, collection development and library programming processes
  • Appraise performance of the Library Managers and devise plans for continuous improvement and professional development

Sales and Business Development

  • Keep up to date with market trends and initiatives to ensure contents within the solutions are relevant and competitive
  • Establish new, and maintain existing, strong long-term relationships with customers for Civica through regular close contact account management utilizing face-to-face meetings, telephone amp; email communication
  • Seek out new sales opportunities with existing customers by providing value-added or new services

About You

With a degree in business or library related disciplines, you will also possess minimum 5 years relevant experience in managing library operations and proven track record of consistent sales growth.

  • Knowledge of library systems preferred
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Strong business acumen and customer focus
  • Strong project management skills with excellent ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
  • Experience in coaching and staff development
  • Sales, business development and marketing competence is a plus
