Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed with the success of our customers. We collaborate across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon our customers’ and partner’s needs.
In this role, you will own the development and support of programs that help AWS partners achieve a competitive advantage and help our customers achieve their business goals. By working with AWS teams and partners, you will accelerate our customer’s cloud adoption and increase the effectiveness of our professional services teams and partners. It’s a unique opportunity to play an integral role in the incredibly fast-growing AWS Worldwide Public Sector Professional Services team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has experience with program development, management, reporting, communications strategy development, and execution, and is highly organized. You must have knowledge of partner/channel relationships and sales strategies as well as the ability and initiative to understand critical business needs, analyze issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to support the development of learning solutions. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently and in a team setting. A solid understanding of Cloud computing technology, and global public sector experience is a plus.
· Develop data-driven narrative proposals for new professional services partner programs, initiatives, or evolving/retiring existing programs.
· Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales and partner teams, and AWS HQ teams around the world using different mediums in a collaborative, cross-functional manner.
· Operationalize partner programs, including program recruitment, adoption, reporting, and problem resolution.
· Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand customer and partner needs, gaps, and opportunities.
· Work with subject matter experts, development partners, and other stakeholders to develop content that meets audience and program requirements in creative and engaging ways.
· Identify/Develop training content and curricula and work with AWS teams to bring materials to our internal stakeholders and partners.

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s degree
· Experience in government, professional service, non-profit, or education industry
· Ability to provide creative, practical solutions to problems
· 15+ years of work experience with solid career progression in program management, communications, or a related field that incorporates industry best practices in project and program management.
· Strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences and develop written material for external stakeholders
· Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
· 15-20% travel to include international locations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· AWS Associate or Professional or specialty certification or ability to get certified within three months of hire.
· Knowledge of AWS Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Management tools, Security, Identity and Compliance services
· Practical Federal Government project delivery experience.
· Demonstrates experience in running complex projects and or program management
· High level of skill communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
· Demonstrates ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
· Demonstrates ability to be comfortable speaking with executives, IT Management, and professional services partners
