At AWS Professional Services, we are building a global professional services team to work on enterprise customer engagements around the world, and to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity supporting these customers. To help grow and scale this business, we are looking for a Business Finance Specialist for Professional Services, APAC & Japan, with strong operational, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the operations of a business; to support and run the financial operations of our fast growing Professional Services practice. This role will require engagement and alignment with the business operations teams, finance, accounting, tax, legal, AR collection, and project managers.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous and demanding work environment is critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with knowledge of revenue operations, experience with Order-To-Cash (OTC), with a proven record of delivering results through strong program management skills, problem solving skills, financial process and system knowledge, and a passion for customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Billing/Invoicing/Collections; Ensure billing, accounting and receivables teams all get accurate data feeds to track revenue and collections.
· Oversee cash applications, interactions with collections, customers, and sales.
· Coordinate with teams across BizOps, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, HR, and IT to ensure that the Standard Operations Procedures are followed and implemented
· Work proactively to identify upstream defects and provide recommendations to resolve issues and enable downstream teams (Cash Applications) to meet their SLAs.
· Lead special projects to drive improvements and integrations across the Professional Services Operations and partnering business teams
· Delivery Quality; Coordinate and drive initiatives to continuously improve delivery quality within and across practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of relevant financial experience
· Experience with Oracle Financials and Business Intelligence
· Experience in organizational and project management skills
· Strong Excels skills
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
· Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a fast paced dynamic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in tracking and working with end customers on accounts receivable issues
· Demonstrated experience proactively recognizing a challenge or problem and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions.
