At AWS we are building a cross-functional team of global technical leaders passionate about growing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers at all levels across the industry. We are seeking innovators with the business background, technical depth, executive experience and communication skills needed to tackle the complex challenges our Broadcast industry customers face as they make the journey to the cloud. We're hiring highly passionate experts in Cloud computing to work with our Solutions Architects and Business Development teams on key customer and partner engagements.

You will possess a technical background that enables you to drive an engagement and interact at the highest levels within our customer teams. You possess the presence and wherewithal to easily communicate the benefits of cloud computing to a variety of technical and business audiences. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing and deploying broadcast and/or live production solutions either as a former chef architect, or in a senior technical consulting, engineering or product capacity. Domain areas of expertise would include key elements of the following:


· Architectural and operational knowledge of SDI and IP-based linear broadcast systems, master control and production control rooms
· Architectural and operational knowledge of news and sports production, in a studio or location-based environments
· A deep understanding of the business, technical, workflow and operational needs of premium broadcast customers
· An understanding of live and file-based workflows to support both live and non-live production architectures
· An understanding of critical broadcast and production elements like: traffic, scheduling, automation, playout, ad tech, graphics, monitoring, editorial, production storage, replay systems, live/file-based video encoding/transcoding, and multi-point distribution end points)
· Relationships with, and an understanding of, 3rd party solutions critical to all aspects of broadcast, and live news/sports production and distribution
· Industry Association engagement related to Broadcasting, Playout, Live Production, and Distribution
Roles & Responsibilities

· Working very closely on projects, programs, and initiatives related to the AWS Cloud Center of Excellence for Broadcast, while providing technical thought leadership to that same group
· Providing Broadcast and Live Production technical thought-leadership and architectural guidance to our broadcast customers, AWS teams, and industry organizations and associations
· Defining technical strategy and influencing downstream activities for customers globally
· Working with customers and AWS partners to identify and lead proof of concept engagements and scope content production solutions
· Development of new service or packaged offerings, collaborating with AWS professional services, services teams, partners, and Amazon product teams
· Conducting technical workshops with Broadcast and Production leaders and executives
· Working very closely with AWS technical community in design, POC, pricing, TCO and delivery activities
· Supporting the AWS Partner Network and key industry technology providers with their broadcast and live production solutions on AWS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years in professional services or consulting in large-scale broadcast transformation
· 5+ years of experience in client related interactions (presentations, building relationships, structuring and providing program oversight, working with partners, statement of works/commercials exposure, business case creation and presentation, technical presales)
· Demonstrated understanding of broadcast and production system engineering (e.g., production control, master control, transmission etc.)
· Demonstrated understanding of Cloud technologies and their current or future application in broadcast and live production environments
· An understanding of technologies such as SMPTE 2110 (Video over IP), Video Compression, Video IP distribution and transport, Video routing, PAM/MAM and editorial systems, Graphics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Professional experience architecting/operating broadcast solutions built on AWS
· 5+ years direct experience in owning or creating market development strategies including: conducting discovery assessments, generating market assessments and business cases, go-to-market programs
· Direct, professional services, or consulting experience in large-scale broadcast and live production transformation
· Understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity
· Demonstrated experience developing enterprise application architectures to meet business requirements in complex environments
· Large-scale systems integration involving on-premises technology and public cloud platforms
· Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or other relevant advanced degrees
