Automation Director, News Current Affairs

• Studio direct News amp; Current Affairs programmes in both automated and traditional galleries.
• This position is responsible for the execution of live studio programming using a Vizrt Mosart Automation system. The responsibilities include but are not limited to using studio equipment to build effects and templates for coding and execution of studio shows via Octopus rundowns.
• Coordinate with studio crew on duties needed to facilitate and execute an error free production studio programming
• Coordinate the planning and production of News and Current Affairs programmes output to ensure that editorial intentions are met and highest production standards maintained. You'll be equipped with the right skills and new and developing tools to deliver high quality production.
• Work primarily in the studio but occasionally will be needed in the filed for outdoor News broadcast.
• Enforce the compliance to the Error Tracking System from both the production and maintenance team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least a Diploma in any discipline
• A demonstrated ability work without supervision in a high pressure environment is essential
• Good organizational and project management skills are necessary
• Must be able to adapt to changes easily, allow for flexibility with the schedule, and have strong attention to detail
• Experience with studio production with a strong understanding of studio equipment include switchers and audio board will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in the English language and at least one other language, Chinese, Tamil or Malay is an added advantage to be able to understand the languages of the program
• A good team player and must be willing to work nights, on irregular shift including weekends and public holidays
