Job Description

Amazon Singapore is seeking an experienced product manager to join the Singapore Payments team and drive the payment acceptance experience for our customers. We are seeking a customer-obsessed individual who is passionate about payments and the intersection of it with commerce, focusing on how to remove friction and add value for Amazon customers. This candidate should have demonstrable experience in payment acceptance, including a proven-track record of working with relevant parties of the payment processing value-chain (card networks, acquiring/issuing banks, payment processors/gateways, etc.).

The Consumer Payments team at Amazon is responsible for how Amazon’s customers pay on Amazon’s sites and through Amazon’s services around the globe. In this role, you will help design, implement and run best-in-class customer paying experiences. You will work across functions including product management, tech, design, marketing and operations to identify opportunities to improve customers’ experience. To deliver the best experiences, we also work with external partners (e.g. banks, card networks, payment service providers, digital payment ecosystems, etc.) who provide various payment services, and you will be responsible for representing the voice of Amazon’s customers as you jointly develop innovative solutions with our partners.

Core Responsibilities:
· Product management: Identify opportunities to improve the customer paying experience by reducing friction or enabling access through new payment methods, designing the customer experience for new and existing payment methods, work cross-functionally to influence development of payment method experiences, and build and manage high-quality product roadmaps based on your vision and overall strategy
· Business Management: Monitor key customer success metrics to measure efficacy of payment methods, engage internal and external stakeholders to evaluate any variances in success metrics to quickly resolve any gaps and continuously improve the customer paying experience, engage in business and operational planning exercises at the country and WW level, set program goals and related metrics, track progress and provide regular updates to senior leadership
· External relationship management: Work with relevant external parties to constantly evaluate the paying experience for Amazon customers, including new/alternative payment methods evaluations, changes in acceptance trends that could impact the paying experience on Amazon and general awareness of the payments industry.

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree
· 8+ years of relevant product management experience
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrable ability to engage, influence and align individuals of varying levels of seniority and tenure, externally and internally
· Experience in building business cases, including cost/benefit analyses, to support product or feature investment decision-making
· Comfortable working with both local and globally dispersed colleagues
· Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and using sound judgement in critical business-decision making
· Highly customer-obsessed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA preferred
· Prior experience in payments and/or international business
· Prior experience in payment acceptance/payment method development
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to work with large sets of data to inform strategic decision-making
· Fun, engaging and team-oriented personality
