Temporary Accountant (3-month)
Pathlight School / Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), Singapore

Responsible for all finance and accounting functions for Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) including social enterprises with the following key responsibilities:

Monthly Financial Close amp; Reporting

• Responsible for month end closing process including preparation of journals, bank reconciliation, balance sheet schedules and performing GL review
• Prepare monthly Financial Reports (including consolidation) for the management
• Manage grant utilization and grant submission reports to the relevant funding agencies
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns to IRAS
• Raise purchase order for finance and general administration departments

External Audit

• Liaise with external auditors on audit requirements
• Lead the team in preparation for external audit
• Prepare/review audit schedules

Internal Control

• Review and update policies and SOPs to comply with recommended practices
• Work with HODs and staff on SOP adherence
• Work with various parties during internal audit

Budget amp; Forecast Process

• Work with all department heads on the budget requirements and preparation
• Consolidation and submission of budget to management for approval
• Monthly tracking and analysis of actual against budget
• Proactively work with all department heads on quarterly budget tracking reports

Others

• Complete surveys issued by The Department of Statistics Singapore
• Manage the donation reconciliation amp; uploading process of annual statistical report to IRAS
• System administrator for accounting software and work with vendor to resolve technical system issues

Requirements

• A Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications like ACCA
• At least 5 years of accounting experience with full set of accounts
• Be able to work independently and has good communication skills and analytical skills
• Has strong interpersonal skills, a team player and have strong sense of responsibility
• IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
• Experience in a voluntary welfare organisation is an advantage
