About the Role:

  • Collaborates with the buying category managers and Asia amp; APAC trading managers to determine strategic direction for brand performance and portfolio.
  • Working on strategic campaign planning with brands, focusing on metrics such as new customer acquisition, retention, Average Order Value via means of sampling, Gifts with Purchase, exclusive launches, regime bundling etc specific to the Asia/APAC region.
  • Delivering Annual Brand Budgets across brand remit
  • Works in close alignment with the marketing teams to ensure brands are well presented on site and across the social platforms.
  • Securing funded promotional mechanics, driving profit and revenue growth
  • Work closely with the Asia business development team to harness growth in the region
  • Is directly involved with the merchandising and logistical set up of brand fulfilment into the Asia/APAC region across both core LookFantastic sites and social commerce platforms such as TMALL.

Requirements

  • Experienced buyer, preferably in beauty, but must have experience of dealing with the retail environment in Asia
  • Knowledge of the Asian market is essential both from a beauty sense but also ecommerce market in general.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop strong supplier relationships
  • Experienced Microsoft office user, especially Excel
  • Must be fluent in Mandarin
  • Strong interpersonal skills due to needing to build relationships across the different functions within the business.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be proactive and use initiative to solve problems
