The Compliance Strategy Director role will be based in Singapore and report to the Crypto.com Chief Compliance Officer and help identify, design, drive and implement strategic opportunities to continue to mature and strengthen the Crypto.com global compliance program. Candidate must be a self-starter who exhibits strong passion for DLT, leading projects and programs liaising with cross-functional partners, and managing delivery timelines and be accountable for program(s) execution
Requirements
- Identify the most appropriate way to drive the implementation of strategic initiatives to move the global compliance program forward, including stakeholder management and understanding of local regulatory requirements. Work with Product PM to ensure build achieved with high quality within budget and by delivery date.
- Be accountable for developing project/program deliverables and lead project/program timelines to achieve delivery of business solutions.
- Liaise with internal and external business partners and third parties (data/verification providers, card schemes, issuers, acquirers etc.) to work out the best solutions and commercial agreements for Crypto.com across all product lines.
- Obtain detailed understanding of product and help enhance the delivery of compliance related controls with an aim at improving Crypto.com's market penetration, usage and profitability.
- Lead cross-regional and cross-functional project teams as sponsored by the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
- Keep updated on current trends, competitors and developments in the DLT, cryptocurrencies and global financial markets.
- Work with HQ and local Product teams to assure product(s) are aligned to the business objectives and desired customer amp; employee experience, and contribute to increasing market share, share of wallet, customer retention, and product amp; customer profitability.
Knowledge:
- Expert understanding of AML/CTF policy, procedures and tools covering the entire customer journey from onboarding, to enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring and SAR filing requirements
- Payment industry expertise, specifically consumer payments in both Issuing and Acquiring
- Knowledge of Product Development Life Cycle and Agile regimes as well as project management tools and methodologies
- Regulatory Compliance exposure to key markets globally
Requirements
- 10+ years of project management or consulting experience with exposure to banking, payment companies or startups
- 5+ year of Card or Payment experience with exposure to regulatory compliance and product management
- 3+ years in DLT, cryptocurrency or FinTech global business solutions or strategy
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to determine priorities and follow up in a timely fashion
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a team environment
- Highly organized and excellent presentation to represent self and crypto.com
- Excellent skills in communicating both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
