Market Analysis Research Intern (6 months/LOA)

As a venture builder, REAPRA constantly seeks to discover promising business fields or industries to develop sustainable businesses with long-term growth potential. The research team of REAPRA is hiring a Market Analysis Research Intern to conduct research using macro-demographics, economics, intellectual property- and industry-related intelligence to guide and direct investment decisions, particularly to scout for industries and sectors having strong potentials for investment growth. This multi-dimensional role will enable you to appreciate the significance of industry scouting, learn market analytics research methodologies and gain relevant work experience in sustainable venture investments.

Responsibilities include:

• Formulating research leads for in-depth market analytics research, particularly in APAC/SEA
• Systematically deriving key industry insights from secondary analysis of published data/reports
• Forming research hypothesis on promising business fields
• Conducting data analyses to validate research hypothesis
• Researching and mapping out value chain of industries
• Investigating inefficiencies and identifying promising entry points into an industry
• Consolidating research findings into clear and concise presentations or reports
• Presenting clear and insightful research findings

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in any discipline
• Strong interest to learn and scout promising industries/sectors for investment
• Strong logical, technical and/or quantitative abilities
• Good oral and interpersonal skills
• Character of integrity, inventiveness and inquisitiveness
• Adaptable and comfortable working in unstructured environments
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office package and optionally in Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to multi-task and work proactively, independently and collaboratively
• Fluent written, spoken and reading capability in English
• Good experience or appreciation in data analysis (e.g. Java, R, Python, Matlab, SPSS or SAS)
• Optionally literacy in additional Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin or Japanese etc.. ..).
