Board of Innovation APAC is expanding and is looking for a Senior business designer to co-build the company in the region, to deliver high-quality work for our clients, as well as to develop new business opportunities with clients.
We encourage each team member to co-create their role their own, and we consider the job description below a starting point for yours :
- You work closely with prospective corporate partners and our teams to design, structure and execute corporate innovation programs and transformations
- You support corporate innovation teams in their quest for new business opportunities. Jointly, you turn these opportunities into significant business value and results (by generating new revenue streams, new product launches, etc).
- You facilitate product amp; innovation teams in a structured and agile way. You guide them through the different phases of innovative product or service developments
- You grow meaningful long-term partnerships and anticipate their challenges in innovation, you develop successful innovation strategies, as well as identify, conceptualize and create new product-market combinations.
Requirements
- You have startup or entrepreneurial experience: you thrive in ambiguity, enjoy working at start up speed, are results orientated and get things done
- You have a strong background in (corporate) innovation (eg as an innovation consultant, business model innovation expert, business designer, human-centered designer, design strategist, start-up founder, product manager, ) and you can comfortably challenge C-level on their innovation strategy
- You have significant and successful business development experience and a track record of having sold high value corporate innovation projects
- You have an academic background in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Design, Business, Technology or a related field
- Having worked in a consultancy or agency is a big plus
- You are fluent in English. Other Asian languages are an asset (such as Mandarin, Malay, etc)
- You identify strongly with our mission, values and culture
- A strong local business network in South-East Asia is definitely a plus
- You are credible, you easily connect with people and you have a to-the-point communication style
