Royal Ocean Marine, a leading headhunting /recruitment agencies company in the maritime industry, is seeking a highly motivated (Compliance Manager ) Governance, Risk and Control Manager to join the client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our governance, risk management, and control frameworks. You will work closely with our senior leadership team to identify areas of potential risk and develop strategies to mitigate them. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong background in risk management, compliance, and control.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive governance framework for the company
- Develop and implement a risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments of various business areas and processes and provide recommendations on improvements
- Design and implement internal control systems to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Monitor and report on overall risk levels and the effectiveness of control systems
- Provide training and advice to staff on risk management and governance-related matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or CPA). Additional certification in Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Risk Manager, Six Sigma would be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of either external or internal audit, and risk management, internal control/business advisory related experiences.
- Experience in maritime amp; offshore industry, and with marine insurance knowledge preferred.
- Good command of English (both spoken and in writing).
- Strong knowledge of the integrated internal control framework (COSO), accounting and internal audit standards.
- Strong business writing skill.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skill.
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking with leadership, organizational, analytical and prioritization skill.
- Passion for value-add by helping management to solve the key problems for the Group.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Application and business knowledge of SAP preferred.
