Royal Ocean Marine, a leading headhunting /recruitment agencies company in the maritime industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability and Compliance Assistant Manager to join the client's team. As a Sustainability and Compliance Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing sustainable initiatives and ensuring our compliance with relevant environmental and social regulations. Reporting directly to the Sustainability and Compliance Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sustainability and environmental management, excellent organizational abilities and communication skills, and a proven track record in environmental and social compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement company's sustainability and environmental policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and social regulations, including ISO standards and other industry certifications.
- Conduct environmental compliance audits to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions.
- Manage sustainability and environmental performance data and reporting, including tracking, analysis, and communications.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainable practices and green initiatives throughout the organization.
- Assist in the development of green marketing and communication strategies to promote company's sustainability and environmental initiatives to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in sustainability and environmental management.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business Management, Finance/Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification.
- At least seven years of work experience in sustainability/ESG. Additional experience in audit/internal audit and/or business transformation would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of sustainability reporting processes, frameworks, standards, and regulations.
- Experience in maritime amp; offshore industry, and with marine insurance knowledge preferred.
- Excellent business writing skill and project management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, prioritization, presentation, and facilitation skill.
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Passion for value-add by helping management to solve the key problems for the Group.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Application and business knowledge of SAP preferred
