Brief overview of the role
The Business Development Account Manager role is part of the Agency, Banks and Consultancy (ABC) sales team based in the ASEAN head office (Singapore) that is tasked with selling our syndicated strategic market intelligence database Passport, our tactical big data machine learning pricing solution VIA as well as Custom Research into the Banking, Auditors, Institutional Investors, Strategy Consultants, and Media Advertising sector. Our custom research expertise in Initial Public Offering (IPO), Private Placements, Mamp;A, PE funding, helps companies raise capital on global stock exchanges, identify white spaces and acquisition targets. We help investors fully evaluate the market environment, competitive landscape and an investment's market position and growth prospect by offering an objective view from a global, credible, and trusted source.
As a Business Development Account Manager, you will be responsible for securing renewals, growing revenues (upsell) and identifying new consulting opportunities within your existing set of accounts; as well as targeting new organisations across Banks, Financial Institutions, and consultancy sectors across ASEAN. This is a hybrid role and hence has both renewal targets as well as new business targets as its ‘Key Performance Indicators’. You will be a highly self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling in the Banks, Financial Institutions, and consultancy sectors. You’ll have the tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to find the right contact, understand the client’s issues, and match and apply the benefits in your solution. You will often need to involve several stakeholders, both internally and externally, in different locations across the world so strong networking and organisation skills as well as an understanding of coporate purchasing dynamics are a must. Additional Southeast Asia languages would therefore be an added advantage.
Key responsibilities
Renewal amp; Growth of existing client base: Be customer centric and contribute and execute on Euromonitor’s Southeast Asia strategy for ABC business. Lead the planning and development of an overall operational plan for the ABC business for the ASEAN region as well as organisation specific strategies and business development plans for each account. Secure renewal of existing subscription amount alongside growth in subscription value year on year. Identify and target key contacts within your accounts for upsell as well as bespoke consulting work opportunities. Network within organizations to find and engage with decisio
