Job Summary:
Energy Recovery Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Business Development Manager, SE Asia. This role will be responsible for fully understanding the totaladdressable market and market dynamics, while developing relationships with end users and EPC’s. You will develop and execute ourstrategic plan in this region.Major Duties Responsibilities: 
  • Become a subject matter expert on the market for wastewater treatment utilizing RO; Develop markets, customers, identify valueproposition and pain points forindustry
  • Perform market research to identify TAM, new opportunities and engage with management to establish strategies for pursuing thosenewopportunities
  • Develop and execute our strategic business development plan for SEAsia
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business and equipmentneeds, teach the benefits of UHPRO and EnergyRecovery.
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing clientrelationships
  • Collaborate with Sales, Technical Support, and Service teams to ensure maximum penetration and visibility in theregion
  • Identify regional regulations and trends related to zero liquid discharge and potable reuse and synthesize information into strategicplan
  • Conduct seminars, webinars, presentations, training sessions to educate potential customers on ERI valueproposition
  • Other duties amp; projects as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required along with a strong technicalbackground
  • At least fiveyears experiencein Industrial WastewaterTreatment
  • Fluency in spoken and writtenEnglish
  • Availability to travel between 30-50% of thetime
  • Prior experience in developing strategic businessplans
  • Ability to effectively utilize resources to solve issues and create solutions to customer and partner needs andproblems.
  • Ability to project a strongleadership image and foster a cooperative working relationship with other departments andcolleagues.
  • Skilled at customer relationship management, business planning, teamwork and execution. Superior oral amp; written communicationsand interpersonal/relationshipskills.
  • Ability to conduct well-organized training sessions and convey technical information clearly at all levels.
