Look around you. gt;90% of the things you see have been in a shipping container at some point. Surprisingly, while being a 500+ billion-dollar industry, 80% of the market is still dominated by small and medium-sized freight forwarders. They mostly organize shipments via countless back and forth in email. AGX helps these forwarders take a step forward and digitalize themselves to compete with emerging digital and global players. We provide them with the digital toolset to keep their backs free so they can focus on their superior operational service offering.
We do this by building a communication and collaboration platform that slashes unnecessary emails and double data entry by connecting relevant data sources and providing a common work interface. Our vision is to standardize information exchange in international logistics like the container did for shipping if successful, this will also boost global GDP.
We are a team uniting decades of experience in SME-, and digital forwarding, tech, and consulting. We are based in Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, well-financed by industry experts, and are due to launch our core product in Q1 22.

What is the opportunity all about?
As a Senior Front End Engineer at AGX, you will be responsible for building a product that our customers love amp; that helps them excel in their daily business. You will translate complex process-driven requirements into the easiest to use and most stable web platform you can design. You will be working closely with our CTO to ensure that we build a product that truly delivers value and is easy to use.
As one of the first people in our organization, you will become the owner of various parts of the platform. You will work closely with the product and leadership team and sometimes customers to build web platforms that excite and engage customers.
- You will design, implement and maintain features easy to use for our web platforms
- You will ensure scalability by contributing reusable building blocks
- You constantly improve our platform’s performance (technology and UX-wise), optimize user flows and processes
- You will co-own the product you are working on, develop an understanding of customers needs and think about solutions
- You will think like an owner, always aware of what needs to be improved, thinking in terms of the customers’ interests, and what the next leap for our platforms will be
- You love frontend - you are always following bleeding edge developments and like to build software of the highest quality, setting new standards and delivering best in class solutions
- Together with your team members and the CTO you will own and architect the application design - giving and receiving design reviews are your jam
- Special projects: In a startup, there is always something to be done
- Support building the tech team globally in close collaboration with the CTO
Requirements
- You bring at least 6+ years of experience building frontend web platforms and high stability applications
- You have a deep understanding of browser capabilities, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, Vue.js 3, and testing frameworks such as webdriver.io, cypress, etc.
- You have a deep understanding of web standards and follow best in class frontend development
- You have a deep understanding of how to bring a 11y or senior citizen to the web
- You have an understanding of business models with mass transactions and automation potentials
- You have at least 2+ years of experience designing amp; implementing building blocks with Vue.JS.
- You appreciate the intricacies of UX/UI and know how to work with designers collaboratively to build products customers love
- You think systems are final if they work as intended, you run unit, integration, and end to end test
- You like to discuss the features of the product yourself and speak the language of requirements, but also appreciate product managers when present
- You are very detail-oriented and like to work in an organized and structured way. You are able to prioritize tasks in a self-directed manner
- You are committed to a sense of togetherness and professional exchange, guaranteeing constant further development of your team and communication at eye level
- You are willing to ‘get your hands dirty’ in fixing pressing issues while ‘seeing the big picture’
- You are willing to learn and use as well as give coaching feedback to improve
- You have good communication skills and a fluent level of English
