Job Description

Our client a major MNC is looking for an office accountant for their office in Bishan. The position is open for those without experience or less experience but keen to learn as long as they have accounting education.

Office Accountant

Good knowledge of general accounting principles (local legal requirement amp; IFRS guidelines)

  • Analyze financial results, monitor the budgeting and forecasting control cycle.
  • Identify potential risk area, support implement control and mitigating activities.
  • Accurately and independently applies this knowledge to his/her activities (incoming/ outgoing invoices/ Cashflow forecast amp; requirements)
  • Responsible for the correct amp; timely processing of invoices, banking, petty cash amp; staff expenses.
  • Responsible for booking and reconcile of wage reports in the accounting.
  • Keeps an eye on deadlines both from internal and external deadlines.
  • Responsible for weekly reports (cash report) and monthly accounting amp; recharged schedules.
  • Follow up on internal documentation and archives up to date.
  • Assist on site-related reports (upon request of the site)
  • Draws up the monthly, quarterly for reporting and declaration.
  • Aware of basic principles of Singapore Tax (GST, Corporate Tax amp; Withholding Tax)
  • Prepares audit controls and inspections (delivery of necessary documents, etc.) in collaboration with Senior Accountant and/or manager.
  • Ability to solve basic finance and banking query and deliver the necessary documents.In consultation with senior/manager to delivers statistics/survey/tender pre-qualify

Requirements

  • Min. Diploma in Accounting, AAT, ACCA or equivalent
  • Preferable 2 years relevant working experience. Fresh Graduate with right aptitude is welcome.
  • Intermediate/Advance Microsoft Excel skills is required.
  • Good interpersonal, coordination amp; communications skills.
  • Demonstrated good initiative.
  • An ability to priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  • A keen eye for detail whilst being able to work efficiently.
  • Strong double entry knowledge, good understanding on accounting processes
  • Preferable Knowledge of Withholding tax and GST legislation (Marine industry and international services)
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 would be an added advantage.
  • Work well independently and as part of the team.
