Job Description

Background on Amazon Seller Services: The Marketplace or “Selling on Amazon” business exists in 18 countries and exceeds 50% of total Amazon unit sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the marketplace adding millions of new products. Amazon’s vision is to offer the earth’s largest product selection and lowest prices for our customers. One way we deliver on this vision is by marketing to local country Sellers to persuade them to launch their products onto the platform thereby maximizing the quantity of items that they list while ensuring the highest quality of product images and information.
We're looking for a creative, results-driven and customer obsessed Merchandising Specialist where you will start with the customer in mind, work backwards, leverage data and optimize processes, to further drive awareness, purchase and loyalty for Amazon. You will continuously review the toolbox needed to grow internal and external traffic and conversion for our products and services in a way that meets our business objectives. Operationally, you will liaise with multiple teams within Amazon, including traffic, customer insights to execute on the strategy defined, while building great business relationships with some of Amazon's top brands.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Responsible for updating on-site content and merchandising across key categories under Marketplace business.
· Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification in our merchandising plan.
· Setting and implementing strategies to grow internal and external traffic to our products, and improve conversion rate, to maximize sales and downstream value to Amazon.
· Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines: Partnering with other internal Amazon teams to ensure successful implementation of all marketing related tools, including understanding barriers to automation and building use cases and solutions to manual work
· Identifying key customer insights to increase brand relevance, and accelerate customer acquisition and loyalty, using both quantitative and qualitative data.
· Owning customer experience including content auditing, catalog quality and assisting with product launch related language-specific tasks (e.g. review keywords, messaging, etc)
· Building and maintaining reporting to measure and optimize the acquisition model; working closely with Finance, Product Management and Instock teams to explain impact of model defined.
· Owning and taking action at all operational steps needed for the successful functioning of the tools identified (i.e. feedback, systematic updates, coordination, etc).
· Reviewing product launch processes, identifying gaps and improvements and overall increasing our speed to launch new selection
· Work with brands to develop and set up key marketing campaigns

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven 1-3 years marketing experience in consumer digital marketing and/or site-merchandising in a fast-moving business
· Experience in arranging visual merchandizing plans with vendors and handling multiple projects at once
· Strong analytical and data-mining aptitude, coupled with strong Microsoft Excel skills and basic knowledge of HTML and XML
· Ability to collaborate successfully with internal teams and deliver results
· Process-oriented mindset
· Proven bias for action and ability to prioritize and learn quickly
· Great communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in either online, retail or e-commerce business is a strong plus
· Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects, including engineering, merchandising, design, marketing, and operations.
· Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks ambitious to get the job done.
· Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects, and comfortable dealing with the ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities of a rapidly evolving business.
