Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Capture and Business Development to join its Worldwide Public Sector team based in Singapore. The AWS Capture team works with central government departments/ministries, state and local governments, public corporations, education institutions, EdTech firms, non-profit entities, and healthcare organisations. Our vision is to help public institutions in Singapore and ASEAN countries make a significant impact on the lives of citizens, by using AWS Cloud services.
AWS is known for an unwavering customer obsession and this role is critical in identifying and shaping long term customer outcomes. This role will collaborate with AWS public policy teams and business leaders to develop and agree on strategic pursuits and work with sales leaders to define inputs, develop win themes and shaping strategies for future procurement of AWS Cloud and AWS Partners. You will be the single-threaded leader responsible for managing a growing team, leading and evolving the most strategic opportunities in the Singapore ASEAN public sector. You’ll drive change with customers, partners, and internal teams, and write compelling business cases to win support for delivering creative/non-standard approaches and solutions.
The suitable candidate will ideally have prior experience in Business development, Policy Implementation, strategic pursuits, consulting, or technical sales experience, and a demonstrated understanding of cloud adoption trends and challenges in the ASEAN public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of developing trusted partnerships with senior customers and influencer stakeholders to shape long-term pursuits of cloud adoption and procurement. You must be able to think big and strategically about a customer’s mission to then build and convey compelling value propositions. To succeed in this role, you will be comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment, be driven to earn trust, and embrace ownership.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Be the single-threaded Leader for AWS Capture Teams across Singapore and ASEAN public sector
· Collaborate with key executives and change champions within both Public Sector and AWS Partner organisations.
· Work with a multitude of customer, partner, and internal AWS teams to orchestrate opportunity development and win related pursuits
· Work with the broader in-country industry advisors/consultants, industry bodies and other entities that influence procurement environments, to shape and develop long-term strategies
· Help customers, partners, and industry at-large, to understand the nuances of public cloud in general, and cloud procurement in particular, to develop a cloud conducive environment for the public sector

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in Team leadership and people managemet
· Policy development and implemantation, business development, sales pursuit or consulting in the technology industry
· Extensive background in IT in commercial/public sector pursuit management to identify, shape and lead competitive procurement for complex deals
· Must have demonstrated experience managing programs of work with complex changing requirements and diverse internal and external stakeholder groups
· Strong gravitas to engage with senior officials, customers, and influencers to drive change
· Must have the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Public sector experience, especially in government procurement
