Job Description
Work hard, have fun, and make history with Amazon's legal team. We are looking for a smart and motivated Corporate Paralegal to work as part of the APAC team to oversee corporate governance for Amazon's APAC subsidiaries. Responsibilities include entity formation, minute book maintenance, ongoing subsidiary compliance, restructuring projects, intercompany fundings, preparation of corporate documents, and liaising with internal business and legal partners and external counsels.
The experienced candidate must thrive on the challenge of a fast-paced environment and work autonomously to execute multiple time-sensitive projects. This role demands flexibility, resourcefulness, and an innovative spirit. The position is based in Singapore.
Job Specification
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 2+ years of previous work experience as a corporate paralegal or related experience with a multinational/Fortune 500 company or law firm
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
· Ability to work independently in a constantly changing environment
· Self-starter with strong bias for action and keen attention to detail
· Impeccable organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma in Law or Bachelor's Degree
· Legal project and information management
· Proficiency in Global Entity Management System (GEMS) or other entity management system, and Microsoft SharePoint
· Outstanding judgement, even in ambiguous situations, and discretion with confidential matters
· Accustomed to working with cross-functional teams
