Job Description

  • Reports to the VP and COO and be fully responsible for the overall Pamp;L of the E-Commerce Port Agency division.
  • To set short and long term strategic direction in alignment with the overall company direction through providing operational leadership and to drive the expansion plan for the company, ensure that the overall performance targets for the division are met.
  • Develop business directions and strategies, in alignment with the company's overall plan,
  • Direct managers and key stakeholders in accordance with business directions with short and long term goals
  • Ensure agendas, goals, strategies and plans are clearly defined and adhered to,
  • Set performance goal (KPI) which are tailored to short-term and long-term goals,
  • Drive and direct the effective utilization and administration of the human capital, financial information, and physical resources to meet its missions, goals, strategies and plans,
  • Advice the VP and COO on strategic business issues and make recommendations on major business decisions.
  • Encourage the executives to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with overall strategy which will lead to high performance.
  • Monitor overall business performance against performance goals to ensures that progress is being made and corrective actions if necessary is taken, through:
  • Ensure adherence to annual budgets,
  • Ensure preparation and presentation of budgetary and planning requirements are carried in full accountability for human capital and monetary resources,
  • Oversee the marketing and sales efforts,
  • Oversee and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of all operational systems and processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of human resources strategies in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide leadership to the team by leading, managing, and motivating the team to ensure delivery of the agreed objectives, through:
  • Ensure all employees have a common understanding of directions,
  • Set clear performance and expectation with direct reports and ensure those expectations are cascaded down to lowest level within the company

Requirements

  • Familiar with shipping agency’s functionality, especially agency business processes, proficient with writing functional requirements and process improvement documentation;
  • Proficiency in variety of office software, and have a certain IT basic knowledge and business model;
  • Good team management and leadership skills to effectively lead the team and collaborate with other departments;
  • Adapting to the quick pace work rhythm, good execution planning, to lead by example and to complete various tasks within timeline;
  • Highly driven and committed individual with strong numeric and management skills;
  • Having relevant networks within the marine industry to promote ship agency services
