Job Description
Role Purpose
1) To support the APEC Digitalization Council (DigiCouncil) Chairperson to shape the region's digitalization agendas
2) To serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Backend Development for APEC Digitalization Projects
3) To support Digi Manager in Design Thinking amp; Agile Initiatives for APEC's Digitalization Projects
4) To help proliferate the adoption of new digitalization skillsets in APEC
Main Accountabilities
1) To support the APEC Digitalization Council (DigiCouncil) Chairperson to shape the region's digitalization agendas
- to support the Digi Council Chairperson and Digitalization Program Manager to deliver Proof-of-Concepts (POCs; following APEC Campfire Framework) shortlisted for its regionalization potential
2) To serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Backend Development for APEC Digitalization Projects
- to support the Digitalization Program Manager to integrate with Backend Data either newly created or from DHL existing backend servers
- to develop server-side capabilities that facilitates connections between frontend and backend
- to function as a practitioner with an understanding and a keen sense of implementing backend technologies - APIs, Database, Middleware)
3) To support Digi Program Manager in Design Thinking amp; Agile Initiatives for APEC's Digitalization Projects
- to support Digi Manager in collaboration using design thinking technics, to design experiences to delight customers
- to support Digi Manager in collaboration using agile capabilities to deliver their minimum viable products
- to support APEC Digitalization efforts in delivering measurable value through development of POCs
4) To help proliferate the adoption of new digitalization skillsets in APEC
- to assist in developing educational programs for APEC to harness analytics from backend data collection
- to assist in developing educational programs for APEC to harness and adopt new skillsets required for the digitalization of the business
- to assist Campfire project leaders on the application of backend development skills to bring more success to APEC campfires

Requirements
- Experience in the Express/logistics industry is preferred
- Internship experience in either Operations, Commercial, logistics or others and a strong technical sense
- Familiar with mySQL, MS SQL Backend database creation, maintenance and integration as well as understanding of APIs and API Economy
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Strong collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of deploying backend technologies on cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure (preferred)
- Internship experience in multinational company preferred
- Cross cultural skills with proven experience in working successfully in a multi-cultural environment
- Knowledge of Server side frameworks (NodeJS (preferred), RubyonRails and Django) is a must
- Proficiency in an analytics tool like Tableau or PowerBI
- Microsoft Azure certification will be a plus
