Job Description

As the Lead of the KOL Campaign Management you are responsible for growing the social/KOL capabilities within APAC, working across various brands making sure the work being produced exceeds the client’s expectations. Together with the Head of Social Media, you will oversee the growth of Media Monks social/ KOL capability business accounts into a long-term success for all parties.

You will support the strategy development and data setup for our clients as an APAC social/KOL expert, drive execution and growth of all social amp; KOL marketing campaigns within the APAC region. While managing the KOL Campaign Management team, which consists of account-/ project managers, producers and KOL managers.

You will focus on cross-team workflows, strategic growth and optimisation of execution processes. You will work closely together with the global KOL capabilities Head, to secure smooth operations during execution. You will be accountable for all running campaign related finances, have responsibility for keeping our clients happy, and collaborate with our Growth team on new campaign briefings.

In this role, the focus is on leading and growing the APAC social/ KOL team on both macro as micro level. The KOL Campaign Management lead oversees all part of the APAC Social campaign management team, and is responsible for building a high performing team while expanding the social/KOL business in APAC.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Continuously enhance Media Monks business proposition for the social domain;
  • Contribute to Media Monks targets: support Media Monks in reaching its yearly business targets as set out at the beginning of each year;
  • Optimise our processes and system infrastructures with the main goal of working efficiently together as a team;
  • Work closely with the other regional teams in EMEA amp; USA to ensure a streamlined workflow;
  • Grow and build the KOL/KOC Network within APAC region; Celebrities, KOL’s and partner talent agencies.
  • Run APAC social campaigns and act as senior support to the APAC teams;
  • Responsible for the execution, management and quality control of all APAC social campaigns;
    • Accountable for on-time delivery of campaigns;
    • Review new briefings and their feasibility with the Head of Brand Partnerships;
    • Drive returning business;
    • Manage the workload of all team members within the APAC Campaign management team.
    • Monitor and steer campaign budgets and make sure set campaign KPIs are met
    • Develop influencer contracts (along with the Legal department)
    • Develop strategic content plannings and support Brand and partnerships team in C level client pitches as the APAC social/KOL expert.
  • Optimise our processes and system infrastructures with the main goal of working efficiently together as a team.
  • Create a safe work environment where the team feels room to grow, by holding monthly team catch-ups, 1:1 meetings.
  • Boost unit skills: develop training programs and know-how sessions to increase knowledge and improve skills of the team;
  • Support HR with the hiring of new APAC campaign management team members and take the lead in the final interviews of all levels;
  • Onboard all new APAC campaign management team members;
  • Set up a clear working structure, monitor tooling and drive efficiency in project execution.
  • Accountable for all finances across executions,i.e. execute within the margins sold in by the Brand Partnerships team;
  • Hold weekly and monthly financial reviews with all key stakeholders;

Additional skills:

  • 7+ years experience in media/ advertising, project management or operational role
  • 5+ years of experience leading a young international team (preferably at an agency);
  • 5+ years of experience in KOL/Influencer management in all tiers
  • Expert knowledge of the latest social trend in APA, including Greater China
  • Strong affinity with process optimization;
  • Strong leadership skills; with experience of leading a multicultural team;
  • Strong client management skills;
  • Decision maker;
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure;
  • Detail oriented with a strategic mindset;
  • Ability to adapt to and communicate with different cultures; with a strong understanding of APAC social nuances
  • Excellent communication skills to work across teams, a creative thinker and team player;
  • A digital native with a passion for social media;
  • Hands-on and can do mentality;
  • Strong communication skills, in English, Mandarin and Dutch.
