Network Engineer/APAC Cloud Services

In this role, you have the opportunity to

• Drive IT operational activities surrounding network infrastructure services, providing and ensuring always on connectivity and seamless access to business applications.
• Research and work on latest network technology standards and designing solution that support the essential critical services that business relies upon
• Manage the AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform supporting business initiatives and projects.

Key Area of Responsibilities

• Maintain and sustain technical and business expertise on assigned business domains and its associated and related technologies

• Work with customers to provide visibility and guidance around Network services and performance through regular Operational Service Reviews and Reporting.
• Work with customers to provide visibility and guidance around their AWS Services.

• Manage 3rd party service provider through Service Level Reviews, Reporting and Management.

• Raise internal awareness of customer impacting bugs and/or issues and drive the appropriate prioritization for fixes and/or responses.
• Provide oversight of escalation, prioritization, and communication and drive customer communication during critical events.
• Performing, designing and implementation of new network solutions and improving of overall APAC network resilience
• Advise in procurement of network equipment and software, including receiving, physical installation and configuration, including disposing of equipment no longer needed according to policy.
• Ensure that proper network and communication hardware and software inventories are up to date.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, vendors and third parties to ensure design standards are adhered to and deploy networks that effectively reflect business needs, security requirements, and service level requirements.
• Engage with relevant business teams to understand and propose solution that are designed for successful deployment and operation

• Be involved in the change management process of the customer’s environment to ensure success and service uptime.
• Engage with relevant executives to understand business needs and ensure solution are designed for successful deployment and operation in the cloud.
• Work on cloud platform setup, implementation and administration of the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience (Computer Science preferred)
• Min. 5 years in a client facing role, leading and project managing complex, large scale, IT/technical/engineering programs in fast moving environment.
• Direct experience implementing Cisco Networks equipment, devices and solutions
• Experience with implementing and working with AWS/cloud services

• Customer-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills

• Good experience managing 3rd party service providers and stakeholders
• Expert knowledge in Cisco network products, configuration and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge in latest Networking technologies, concepts, LAN/WAN Design, SDLAN, SD-WAN and Wireless
• Project Management Experience
