Position Purpose:

Reporting directly to the country manager, you will be overseeing the Singapore category portfolio creating a compelling vision and communicating with style and charisma. You are responsible for the sales mission and vision of the business unit. Under your leadership, you build a team of high performance individuals to achieve and excel sales growth.


You will partner the principal(s) to develop the business strategies, objectives and targets for your respective brands in the region. You will drive the brand awareness, expansion and penetration strategies to strengthen the position of the business in the market.


Principal Accountabilities/ Scope:

  • Responsible for the overall achievement of sales and profit target of the business unit.
  • Lead, manage and coach a team of managers and executives to achieve the business, financial and brands’ objectives amp; strategies.
  • Ensure that sales are maximised through the effective analysis of sales data, monitoring of activity, observation of and response for trends, setting of priorities and evaluation of business initiatives.
  • Develop new business opportunities by analysing business needs and brand’s requirements.
  • Build onto the success of the brands to achieve maximum brand awareness and sales growth.
  • Responsible for channel distribution growth/expansion of brand businesses.
  • Constantly review the business plans with trade partners, re-strategise and initiate plans/programs to drive sales.
  • Manage the Aamp;P budget and Pamp;L of the business
  • Negotiate actively with business partners for best possible trade margins so that company’s profit interest is being protected.
  • Build a strong and sustainable partnership with principal(s).
  • Consult principal(s) on local market trends, consumer insights and competitor analysis.
  • Collaborate with multiple functional teams to ensure smooth business operation.
  • Manage vendors and third party agencies effectively.

Requirements

Experience

  • A degree holder in Business Management, Marketing, Finance or relevant specialisation.
  • 10 years of end-to-end brand management experience in the FMCG/ Retail industry.
  • More than 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Good business insights to the industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Pamp;L of the business.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good network with the media/ beauty editors.
  • Proven sales driving skills through a team.
  • Strong people management experience; with the ability to motivate, inspire, coach and develop people.
  • Good analytical skills, problem solver, self-starter.
  • Proven track sales record in a target-driven environment.
