Canopy (https://canopy.cloud/) is a "make sense of your data" financial technology startup. We provide aggregation, visualization, analytics, and reporting services to financial institutions, wealth managers, and high net-worth individuals.
We are currently recruiting a BD Manager B2B2C to join us on an exciting journey. The Business Development team at Canopy focuses on identifying new prospects to sell our Wealth Management technology platform. We are looking for a self-motivated and team-focused sales rock star with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who has a positive and pragmatic attitude, combined with the desire to achieve success
Your role:
- As a BD Manager, your day will be composed of three main activities:
1. Scouting for new prospects that could use Canopy (ideally from your personal network, cold reach out, partnerships, etc.). Canopy's clientele are Family Offices, Wealthy Families / Individuals, Wealth Managers, External / Independent Asset Managers, Private Bankers, Trustees, Fiduciaries)
2. Engaging in new conversations with firms that could use Canopy,
3. Managing your opportunities and bring them to a close,
- You will be selling and promoting a range of WM Tech. Services (reporting SW, Backoffice operations lt;BPOgt; such as data aggregation, processing, cleansing) mainly over the phone or face to face, with opportunity to attend conferences and events,
- Be part of and actively influence/shape a fast growing Business Development and very international start-up team,
- Working in a positive sales environment, recognition and benefits for committed individuals,
Requirements
- Singaporean and PR only
- 3 5 years of trained sales experience (ideally with financial or IT background),
- Excellent communication skills and ability to correspond with senior level executives at various types of investment firms (FOs, WMs, EAMs, IAMs, RIAs, PBs, Trustees, Fiduciaries),
- Fluent in English (any other European and / or Asian, and / or Middle-Eastern language is an advantage),
- Ability to work on your own initiative and manage your personal workload,
- Both the ability and the appetite for working in a start-up environment with flat hierarchies,
informal and direct collaboration and communication,
- You are hungry for success and you strive to build up a great company with the current team,
- You love to win, more than you hate to lose :)
