Private Market Associate Director

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting Private Equity and Real Assets clients, in addition to client relationship management.
• Responsible for maintaining relationship with key strategic client based in Japan; as well expanding company's product/service offerings to this client.
• Participate in new business discussions with prospects and existing clients
• Manage client relationship, including regular meetings with key constituents on client side to assess performance
• Maintain/manage client expectations and coordinate deliverables timelines with staff
• Provide guidance and direction to staff on all technical and client-service-related topics
• Support JGAAP conversion as part of service deliverables
• Develop/maintain robust review procedures around deliverables
• Support corporate goals and business/departmental initiatives, including expanding product offerings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA designation a plus
• More than 10 years’ experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds, preferably private equity and/or real assets (preferred but not required)
• More than 7 years’ experience supervising professional staff
  
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and JGAAP, with an emphasis on investment partnerships
• Proven client management skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team in monitoring client deliverables and meeting deadlines
• Hands-on management style with strong leadership skills and ability to develop staff
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, self-driven and solution-oriented with a clear focus on client servicing
