About the role

The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the IFF department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.

What you will be doing

• Provide advice, guidance and training on Singapore customs regulatory matters and updates (e.g., customs and competent authorities updated circulars)
• Manage ALL Customs discrepancies and offences, ensuring timely closure, identify potential risks and put in place appropriate control and process improvement
• Main liaison for Singapore customs pertaining to all company Singapore entity’s customs related matters
• Manage outsource vendor performance and continuous improvement
• Manage and execute the brokerage files ensuring KPIs are met
• Manage and maintain global KPIs
• Manage the budget and timely accruals
• Manage, update, and put in place required customs related processes, e.g. monthly GST reporting, AED monitoring, GST outlay

Requirements

The successful candidate

• Diploma holder
• Minimum 02 years' experience in freight forwarding (Air/Sea)
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good Knowledge on Harmonised System (HS) Classification of Goods (AHTN)
• Good foundation on Customs Procedures amp; Formalities
• Familiar with Customs Rules of Origin, Strategic control, Sanction.
• Familiar with Freight Forwarding Air/Sea/Land Import/Export Documentations
• Familiar with Various Competent Agencies Standard Requirements e.g NEA, AVA, HSA, CNB, , PCD, STGC, SCDF is a bonus point
